Smile

As a tribute to the King of Pop, the legendary Michael Jackson, here are parts of some lyrics of an inspirational song: Smile.

Smile, though your hear is aching
Smile even though its breaking
When there clouds in the sky

Smile and maybe tomorrow
You'll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just smile

Light up your face with gladness
Hide every trace of sadness

Smile, just keep trying
Smile, whats the use of crying?
You'll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just smile

Wake Up!

No matter how hard it is,
you have to do it for your family,
your friends, the people that rely on you.
No matter rainy or sunny, snowy or chilly.
Monday or Friday or the days in between,
everyday, every morning we smell the scent,
of coffee and a day of hard work,
but at the end, we all accomplished our task,
and it was worth it, so
wake up!

The "Real" Man

If you still open the doors for her,
respect her,
and call her beautiful,
you're a real man.

All women want a guy like this. So remember guys, be a "real man"!

The Fisherman

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will eat for a lifetime. Give a man a religion and he will starve to death, praying for a fish.

It means if you give a person food directly, you only feed him for as long as that amount of food lasts. But if you teach him how to get his own food for himself (teach him how to fish, hunt, farm, etc), with this skill he will be able to feed himself for the rest of his life.

Welcome!

Welcome to The Collection, a collection of various life lessons, quotes, and poems by random poets, people, and others. These words of wisdom are words which you can learn from and make them yours forever.
As a welcome treat, here is a welcoming poem.

If you are a dreamer, come in.
If you are a dreamer, a wisher a liar,
A hope-er, a pray-er, a magic bean buyer...
If you're a pretender, come sit by my fire
For we have some flax-golden tales to spin.
Come in!
Come in!

From Invitation by Shel Silverstein.
